Charlotte Bryan's Story

Wednesday 10th August , 2016

I worked for Contact in the marketing/sales team between 2015/2016 and it was a fantastic year (despite my daily commute from Sheffield!).

One particular memory that sticks out was working in the building during Contacting the World 2016. There were young people and creatives all over the building, rehearsing, dancing, singing and working collaboratively; the atmosphere was absolutely incredible. I think for me it really embodied what Contact is about – young people being at the centre of their work and ethos. It brings an energy that is so inspiring, and completely unique to Contact.

Contact is a really transformative place to be a part of, be it as a participant or an employee. I’ve developed skills and a work ethic at Contact that I’m sure will stay with me for the rest of my career. Not to mention the staff that I’ve worked with, who are so committed to Contact, and really are like a family – as clichéd as that might sound!

I couldn’t have asked for a better place to really start my career and I have no doubt that the people (and the programme!) will keep me coming back!
